This MOU aims at enhancing the employability of students with practical and on-the-job learning in the area of financial management. AWOKE India Group in collaboration with Counselling and Guidance Cell will provide mentoring & guidance to students of the University of Lucknow for start-ups & entrepreneurship.
The MOU was signed by Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, Vice-Chancellor, University of Lucknow, and Mr. Pravin Kumar Dwivedi, Director, AWOKE India Group, LU. Prof. Madhurima Pradhan, Director, Counselling, and Guidance Cell formally welcomed all the guests and told about Counselling and Guidance Cell and its vision and mission. The vision of this one-year-old Counselling and Guidance Cell is to accelerate the transition from old education policy to new Education Policy 2020 which aims at creating world-class multidisciplinary institutions. The mission of this Cell is to support, value, and challenge the students of the University of Lucknow to develop their full potential, psychological immunity, and skills to thrive in the challenging situations of life. She told that internships, training programs, workshops organized in collaboration with AIG and CGC would provide students of university new-age career skills and practices on the ground learning opportunities in the emerging areas of Finance and enhance their employability.
Mr. Pravin Dwivedi, President, AWOKE India Foundation, Lucknow gave a comprehensive introduction of AWOKE India Foundation, Lucknow. He told students need to build financial acumen before entering into employment. Learning practical aspects of finance sooner than later makes life much better in all respects.
Prof. Rakesh Chandra, Dean Academics, University of Lucknow was keen with this MOU on promoting Apprenticeship-hands training. Developing vocational courses like GST and insurance. Faculty programs like Training of the teachers to teach these courses.
The words of inspiration and encouragement were spoken by Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, University of Lucknow. During the exchange of MOU, he said, in the knowledge industry employability is the new education policy. Still in India, 65%-85% are not employable. He also spoke about the Industry academia partnership. This collaboration with AWOKE India will support our students to understand the basics of entrepreneurship and enter into start-ups. From these courses, our students will benefit from getting skill-based knowledge.
The program was moderated by Dr. Anu Kohli, Coordinator Counselling and Guidance Cell, University of Lucknow.
Mr. Pravin Dwivedi, President, Awoke India Foundation, Lucknow made interacted with the students and answered many of their questions. Students from the Department of Business Administration, Public Administration Commerce, and Economics participated in this program.
Student from the Department of Economics Mr. Vivek asked questions on how to save retail investors and also on Cryptocurrency and the stock market during the ongoing pandemic situations.
